In the space of collective work "Boiling point - Yoshkar-Ola", the Republican round table Transformation of the content of pedagogical education strategic priorities" was held on July 1.
Natalya Adamova, the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Mari, Mikhail Shvetsov, the rector of Mari State University, and representatives of educational institutions from the region attended the meeting. Teachers' training and the development of pedagogical education systems were the main topics for discussion. During the workshop, as well as the training of personnel in various educational organizations for psychological and pedagogical support of students. In her report, the Minister of Education and Science of Mari El Natalya Adamova noted that there is still a shortage of teachers in the city's districts and schools (330 are short) but that the regional authorities and subordinate organizations are taking steps to increase the number of teachers. Mikhail Shvetsov, MarSU Rector, emphasized the need to enact a minimum wage for teachers in response to the low wages problem.
Moreover, the Centre for Scientific and Methodological Support of the MarSU was presented. The objective of this project was to develop a model of integrated continuous teacher training that incorporates modern technological advances into the professional activities of teachers while conducting scientific and pedagogical research. Also, they effectively manage the educational process through the use of digital resources and services. In 2020, MarSU successfully implemented the project of the Center for Methodological Support and Support of Distance Learning in Schools, which had seven partner schools in the region.
A cooperation agreement between the university and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Mari El was signed during the round table. The parties undertake to combine efforts, opportunities and intellectual potential in the training and education of specialists, creating the necessary conditions for social support, adaptation and rehabilitation of students and graduates, development and improvement of educational, methodological, research and consulting activities, as well as the organization and conduct of pedagogical practices.
