The Final Stage of the All-Russian competition for international students “StudRussia” became a true celebration of unity, talent, and academic excellence, bringing together 112 of the best international students from 76 universities across Russia. The prestigious event took place on 10-11 December 2025 at MISIS University in Moscow, gathering outstanding young leaders who represent the future of international education in Russia.
“StudRussia” is one of the most significant national projects aimed at supporting and recognizing international students studying at Russian universities. The competition highlights leadership, social activity, creativity, academic achievements, and contributions to university life. Reaching the final stage is itself a mark of exceptional merit, as participants undergo a rigorous selection process at the regional and federal levels.
This year’s final showcased innovative projects, inspiring speeches, and powerful personal stories that demonstrated the diversity and strength of Russia’s international student community.
Mari State University proudly congratulates Manish Landage, a 6th-year student of the Medical Institute, Chairman of the Foreign Students Council, who represented the university at the final stage with remarkable confidence and professionalism.
As a result of his outstanding performance, Manish was awarded the Diploma of Laureate in the prestigious category:
“Grand Prix - Best International Student (English Track)”
This high recognition confirms his leadership qualities, academic excellence, and active contribution to student life, as well as the strong international environment fostered at Mari State University.
Adding special significance to the event, Olga Petrova, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, personally attended the final stage to congratulate the finalists and celebrate their achievements. Her presence emphasized the importance of the “StudRussia” competition in promoting international education and strengthening cultural dialogue across Russian universities.
Reflecting on his journey, Manish Landage shared heartfelt words that resonated deeply with the Mari State University community:
“I sincerely believe that I represented our MarSU with great dignity. Every word, every step I took was aimed at demonstrating the strength and uniqueness of our university. This is further confirmation that I am studying at the best university. All the unique projects proposed by the participants have long been implemented at our one and only MarSU.”
He also expressed gratitude to the international student community for their constant support, emphasizing that this achievement belongs to everyone who believed in him throughout the competition.
