On October 20th, Mari State University had the honor of hosting a thrilling chess tournament for BRICS students studying in the Russian Federation at the prestigious Sergey Karyakin Chess School.
The event showcased the exceptional talent of our students, particularly those from India, the birthplace of chess. We are proud to announce that Ajit Jatav emerged as the tournament champion, demonstrating remarkable skill, strategic thinking, and a profound understanding of chess combinations.
The tournament not only highlighted the competitive spirit among participants but also fostered camaraderie and friendship among students. We extend our gratitude to all participants for contributing to an incredible atmosphere. We look forward to establishing this tournament as a cherished tradition at Mari State University, providing even more opportunities for students to excel in intellectual competitions.
